Stem Cell Therapy
What is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem cell therapy uses the body’s own regenerative potential to repair, replace, or restore damaged tissues. At M Regenerative Clinic, we use adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs), which are collected from a small sample of your own fat tissue. These cells have the remarkable ability to transform into various cell types, reduce inflammation, and release healing growth factors.
Stem cells can be administered in two ways depending on the condition:
- IV Infusion: Delivers stem cells throughout the body for systemic anti-aging, immune balance, and whole-body regeneration.
- Local Injection: Targets stem cells directly to an affected area (e.g., joint, skin, or organ) for focused healing and repair.
Why Stem Cell Therapy?
Patients often ask why stem cells are different from other treatments. Unlike medications that only mask symptoms, stem cells:
- Promote true regeneration by repairing damaged cells and tissues
- Reduce inflammation at both local and systemic levels
- Release cytokines and growth factors to accelerate healing
- Improve circulation and oxygen delivery to tissues
- Support immune system regulation and recovery from chronic conditions

FAQs
What are stem cells?
Stem cells are natural repair cells in the body that help regenerate damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and support healing and recovery.
What type of stem cells are used?
We use human-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) obtained from ethically approved sources, including Wharton’s Jelly (umbilical cord matrix).
All stem cells are processed, expanded, and quality-controlled in our in-house GMP-compliant laboratory, ensuring full traceability and safety.
Each batch undergoes:
- GMP culture expansion
- Viability testing
- Sterility and endotoxin testing
- Mycoplasma testing
- Infectious disease screening (HBV, HCV, HIV, syphilis)
Is stem cell therapy safe?
Yes. Stem cell therapy is considered very safe, especially because autologous stem cells (your own cells) are used, which significantly reduces the risk of rejection or adverse reactions.
All procedures are performed in our in-house laboratory, operating under GMP-compliant, ISO Class 1 cleanroom conditions, and strictly regulated according to Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) safety standards. This ensures full control over cell processing, quality, sterility, and traceability.
Most patients experience only minimal and temporary side effects.
Who is stem cell therapy for?
Stem cell therapy may benefit:
- Patients with arthritis, joint pain, or sports injuries
- Individuals seeking anti-aging, vitality, or wellness enhancement
- People with chronic inflammatory or autoimmune conditions
- Patients interested in skin rejuvenation or hair restoration
- Those seeking advanced regenerative care beyond conventional treatments
Who is not eligible for treatment?
Patients with active infectious diseases, certain cancers, or severe immune disorders may not qualify.
A full medical consultation and assessment are required.
What conditions can be treated?
Common applications include:
- Anti-aging & skin rejuvenation
- Hair restoration
- Joint pain & mobility improvement
- Immune support
- Fatigue & wellness optimization
How are stem cells stored and handled?
Stem cell products are cryopreserved at –80°C and thawed immediately prior to administration to preserve viability and potency.
How are stem cells collected?
Stem cells are harvested from a small sample of adipose (fat) tissue using a minimally invasive procedure.
How long does the stem cell procedure take?
The procedure itself takes about 10–15 minutes. However, you should allow additional time for pre-procedure consultation and preparation. After the procedure, we recommend about one hour of rest and observation to ensure everything is okay before you go home.
How long does it take to see results?
Some patients notice improvements in pain, energy, or skin quality within 2–4 weeks.
Full regenerative benefits typically develop over 2–3 months.
How long do results last?
Results generally last 6–12 months, depending on the condition treated, lifestyle, and overall health.
How many sessions are needed?
Treatment plans are personalized and customized after consultation.
What is the difference between IV and localized injections?
- IV infusion: Whole-body wellness, anti-aging, immune support
- Localized injections: Targeted treatment for specific areas (face, joints, muscle and scalp)
Is there downtime after treatment?
No major downtime. Most patients return to normal activities within two days.
Can stem cell therapy be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Stem cell therapy can be safely combined with:
- PRP
- Peptides
- Fatigue recovery IV therapy
- Vitamin drips
- Other regenerative treatments such as supernatant
What is the cost of treatment?
Costs vary depending on:
- Dosage
- Treatment type
- Targeted area
