He graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine in 1997.<\/p><p>His career includes positions at the University of Tokyo Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital (Endocrinology), and Harvard Medical School, where he served as Lecturer and later Assistant Professor. Since 2007, he has been Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Tokyo and, since 2021, Vice President of Kanagawa University of Human Services.<\/p><p>He is also a Board Member of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine (JSRM) and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the society\u2019s English-language journal Regenerative
